This house in Ratoath Co Meath was recently fitted out with Plantation shutters.

Here, we have installed 89mm louvred shutters with hidden tilt rod feature. This means that by moving one louvre by hand, the rest of the louvres in that group move together.

On the larger downstairs windows we’ve installed a mid rail , this is the horizontal rail about a quarter of the height up. We’ve also installed 2 hidden tilt mechanisms above the mid rail. This allows the customer to operate 3 separate sets of lovers in each shutter panel, giving lots of function.

This customer also chose to finish the shutters with a large crown frame/architrave around the outside of the shutter to give an elegant finish to the product.
